Broadway Camps / Workshops

Introduction to Broadway
Monday August 8th – Friday August 12th
Morning Session - 9:30a - 12:30p
Ages: 8-11 years old

Description: A camp for younger people interested in musical theater. Please make sure to bring shoes that are easy to move in (no flip-flops), and some snacks! Students will come away from this camp with a basic understanding of musical theater and having learned a few songs along the way.

Early Bird (Before May 1st) Price: $225.00 for each session

After May 1st Price: $250

If a student registers for both Intro to Broadway and Aerial Silks 101 sessions, the total cost for the week is $375.00.

Broadway at Legacy
Monday August 15th – Friday August 19th
Full Day camp - 9:30a-4:30p
Ages: 7-16 years old

Description: Produce and perform a Broadway musical with costumes and sets for an audience in one week! We will be producing a mini-version of “Mary Poppins” with several of your favorites from this musical. No prior theatre experience needed! Bring a friend and catch the acting bug! Bring a snack! Rehearsing burns calories and works up an appetite! This has been a sellout camp in past years so register early and come have great fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ballet Intensives

Attire: Any color leotard, tights and ballet and pointe shoes for girls. Fitted t-shirt or leotard and tights or bike shorts and ballet shoes any color for boys.

Ages: 11 and up

Requirements: These intensives are designed for the beginning intermediate-intermediate/advanced ballet dancer who needs to build up stamina for local or away programs during the summer. This camp is open to Ballet 2 and above.

Description: We will work on conditioning for dance, ballet technique, modern technique, pointe technique, classical variations, safe training habits, nutrition and anatomy, and dance history among other topics.

Early Bird (Before May 1st) Price: $425.00

After May 1st Price $475.00

Price for both weeks: $800.00

Young Dancer Ballet Summer Intensive

July 18th - July 22nd, 2016
9:30a-4:30p
Ages: 8-13 years old

Description: The camp will be ballet-centered with guest teachers in contemporary, aerial, jazz and conditioning and flexibility. There will be arts and crafts and application of stage make-up.

Early Bird (Before May 1st) Price: $425.00 / week

After May 1st Price: $450 / week

If a student registers for both sessions, the cost for both weeks is $775.00. After May 1st Price: $800

Ballet Basics: Tuesdays 6:30p-8:30p June 14th – Aug 16th

A ballet class for teens and adults who have never trained in ballet or their last dance class seems like a distant memory. Dust off your slippers, or try something new! Come learn classical ballet using the most recognized training curriculum in the nation, American Ballet Theatre's National Training Curriculum. This is the year and the place to take the first steps towards your dancing dream.


Open Ballet
Thursdays 6:30p-8:30p June 16th – Aug 18th
Saturdays 11:00a-1:00p June 18th – Aug 20th

Advanced beginners through advanced intermediate dancers. Requires a minimum of 2 years serious ballet training. This mixed level class focuses on classical ballet technique with individualized instruction for each student. Using the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, this class will further develop each dancers alignment, discipline, & technique.


Keep it Movin’, Movin' Movin'!
Wednesdays 4:00p-5:30p June 22th – Aug 3, 2016th

This ballet class is for ABT level 2 and 3, though level 4’s are welcome! This is an intermediate level of ballet for students who have mastered the basics Our class is designed to keep your technique sharp while honing your craft throughout the summer. We will be moving beyond the basics as we incorporate our skills in more intricate footwork and movement in the center.. The focus is on core strength, flexibility, alignment, and coordination as we apply those things in movement. Don’t lose all your hard work, be ahead of the class come Fall! .

Aerial Silks Experience 101

Afternoon Session - 1:30p-4:30p
Ages: 8-11 years old

Description: This camp is for beginners on aerial fabrics. We will explore skills in a sling, use footlocks, and will try our hands and feet at climbing. Come and meet new friends, play aerial games and create, explore and have fun trying something new!

Just Silks
June 20th- June 24th
Afternoon Session - 1:30-4:30
Ages: Tweens (11-15)

Description: This camp is for tweens with at least one year aerial silks experience. WE will explore new silks heights and inversions. Come and meet new friends, play aerial games, create choreography and achieve that elusive trick! Bring a snack as we burn lots of calories!

Early Bird (Before May 1st) Price: $225.00 for each session

After May 1st Price: $250

If a student registers for both Circus Experience and Just Silks sessions, the total cost for the week is $375.00.

Aerial Workshops

Introduction to Aerial Fabric Workshop
Monday August 1st, 2016

Ages: Adults

Description: No experience needed in this one evening workshop! Students will get off the ground and go upside down and have some laughs! You will learn skills in the sling, footlocks and try your hand at climbing. This is an ideal way to try something new, have a great time and see if you are ready for more. Bring a friend and enjoy it twice as much!

Workshop Price: $45.00

Aerial Silks Sequencing and Choreography Workshop
Saturday , June 25th, 2016

Ages: 14 and up

Description: Come explore basic principles for developing silks choreography: sequencing, transitions, and expressions!!

This workshop is for adult and teens with at least 6 months of aerial silks training, solid foundational skills and technique who are wanting to learn how to improve their silks choreography. Be prepared to repeat sequencing a number of times as you would in a rehearsal setting.

Mixed Level Lyra
Tuesdays June 14th–August 2nd, 2016

Description: Come and spend some time on the hoop (the aerial hoop that is)! Explore above, below, in and around the definitive shape of the circle. This class will get you fit, give you unique skills and you will have fun the whole time! Bring a friend to double your fun!


Aerial Fabrics 2/3
Thursdays June 16th–Aug 4th

Ages: 14 and up

Description: This mixed-level class is for adults and teens 14+ with solid foundational (or beyond) silks vocabulary and technique who can invert strongly in the air. As appropriate for each student, class will focus on building strength and technique for inversions and hipkeys and working from these positions for climbs, drops, and other skills.


Continuing Beginning Aerial Silks
Wednesdays June 15th–August 3 rd, 2016

Ages: Adults

Description: This class is for adults with at least nine months of aerial silks training. Class will focus heavily on technique, strengthening and refining foundation-level vocabulary.


Kid's Mixed Level Aerial Fabrics
Thursdays June 16th-July 7th, 2016

Ages: 8-11 years old

Description: Learn fun poses in footlocks and slings. Climb and descend the fabrics like a circus pro. Each class allows time for creative exploration and play. This class is for anyone with or without aerial experience.


Tweens Mixed Level Aerial Fabrics
Thursdays June 16th-July 7th, 2016

Ages: 12-15 year old

Description: Each student will be working within their own abilities on skills from footlocks, sling and different ways to climb. We will focus on strengthening, technique and we will develop endurance through choreography. This is a class for those with or without aerial experience.
